We have won an Ohio State Preservation Office “Public Education and Awareness” Award for our long-term series of journals, View from The Overlook.
Our work includes maintaining a useful archive for researchers, educators, and history lovers everywhere.
Our dedicated volunteers reach out to the community, joining with other groups and institutions, to provide free history lectures, neighborhood history tours, and nature walks for other publications such as the “Heights Observer” and constantly update our Facebook page.
We write articles for other publications such as the Heights Observer and regularly update our Facebook page, which features much historical information and photos and sometimes fosters lively dialogue
We plan occasional fundraisers–for public enjoyment, and to raise funds for significant community projects.
We sponsor public displays featuring various aspects of the history of our community.
We have begun the process of sponsoring or co-sponsoring historic markers and signs around Cleveland Heights to facilitate self-guided walking and driving tours for all ages.
We are a resource for genealogy, and are available to help answer your history questions via e-mail and other communication.
